This is a good story for the 80 Word Flash Fiction contest. I did notice one spelling error that needs correcting, nothing major.

Within eighty words, your story started with suspense. Who were the strangers in Grandpa's house? As the story progresses, Grandpa wants to leave, but can't find his keys. The fact that they are in the refrigerator is sad, but may be an early sign of cognitive decline. This is creative fiction, but could be true. Best wishes in the contest.

Ugh. This is what my nightmares are made of, I have to say. The wife of one of my piano students had Alzheimer's, but, to his credit, he would not have her put into a facility. One day, in the middle of our lesson, she called to him, "Eddie! Are these your shoes here in the front hallway?" My student replied, "The plaid high heels? No, Ma, those aren't mine."
Well done entry. Good luck to you in the 80-Word Flash Fiction Contest. xoxo

Oh dear! Poor old Gramps is losing it and he certainly shouldn't be driving if he doesn't recognize his own family and doesn't know where he put his keys! Best wishes in the contest!

Well, I haven't put anything in the refrigerator yet, but I have forgotten what I was looking for...including my glasses that were on top of my head. LOL Yet, if the family needs an answer to something...guess who they call, so I guess I'm not too far gone just yet.

I agree, such a shame to break a little girl's heart, I hope I never do that, my mind's fine at the moment, and Elaine's, yes, we live in hope don't we Stan? Well done, how's your story coming along. Beautifully written, good luck, blessings Roy

This is good flash with a twist. I is a bit sad because it lets us all know that Gramps is suffering from Alzheimer disease. What is is with the refirgerator? That is were most with the problem put thing.

This is a revealing 80 Word Flash Fiction entry. The tone of confusion and the fat tears of granddaughter, Monica, and the word 'strangers' let the reader see things from Gramps' point of view.
Good luck in the contest.

This is very well written for the contest and I wish you the very best in the contest but you have a wonderful day and God bless you the day. I put the sugar in the refrigerator in the milk in the oven. I know that there is a problem with me. Patricia.
