This is a nicely written story about how simple love can be and also how it comes when you least expect it and aren't looking for it. It also shows how the right couple can balance each other out. He sounds like a great guy.
I can understand how this could have put space between you and Katie.

Tough question. I didn't, and still consider her my friend but I think she was hurt. Gary isn't a communicator and never told me any details, just said "she wasn't the marrying kind".

When I was in the navy, I spent a little time in Philadelphia, and went to the Rodin museum. There was a copy of The Thinker outside of the museum. It's an interesting sculpture. Thanks for sharing this. I hope you have many more years of bliss.

I don't think there's any instruction in the bible for whom one chooses to marry or indeed choose the other half that completes us, but whoever makes you happy, and indeed is the one for us, my mother in law disapproved of me. but after 52 years we are still together.
