Ciao!
It's the combination of your words and the effective artwork that made your story so disturbing.
It really made my stomach turn and twist .

Hi Rod,
I count exactly 80 words. Nice entry for the 80 Word Flash Fiction contest! Your small intestine became a dinosaur, "devouring and ingesting, encircling my stomach, my chest, my neck. Insatiable appetite, gobbling up everything, organs, bones, skin, even itself." A late-night burrito will do that, I guess. Off to a dreamy nightmare!
Good Luck in the contest!
Cheers,
Kimbob

Yes, sometimes our unbearable cravings cause us to ingest what we know won't be agreeable to our tummies. But we eat them anyway, and I for one am the worst. LOL. Thanks for sharing. And it's always nice to see talented writers jumping outside their comfort zone.

Hello Rod :)
Thank goodness it was all a dream! It's strange how physical discomfort can manifest itself into a nightmare. Also how consuming certain food and drink too late in the day can interfere with our sleep.
Let your horror story be a lesson to us all!
I enjoyed reading your flash fiction and wish you the best of luck for the contest.
Best wishes, Debra :)

Yes, thank goodness it was only a dream, but I learned my lesson about when and what to eat. Glad you enjoyed this, Debra. Thanks for sharing.

I've had heartburn and discomfort from Mexican food before, but never anything like this!
A very good entry for this contest, Rod. I wish you more luck than you have with the food you eat:-)

Uh-well! You did describe a horrific scene indeed! And I'm glad it's not a real horror in terms of zombies and aliens eating humans etc.
Your final line made it understandable!
Best wishes in the contest!

Oh my! Been there-done that! I love your title and the horror story that follows. It kind of put a damper on my dinner tonight. This could also work as a humorous story!

You surprised me at the end with the mention of the burrito. You have a clever and creative use of words. An upset stomach can cause very weird dreams which you captured perfectly in your short story.

I love the twist at the end of your story. Although it is listed as a horror, I found it more humorous than anything. I enjoyed this story immensely. Best of luck in the contest.
