When my kids were teenagers, and had done something wrong, a fall back position was " remember we will be the ones to pick out your nursing home. They must teach that in school. That teacher should be fired. Karen

This is structurally sound writing. The main issue I see is the story itself. I would look this one over again. It is a bit confusing, but I think the instructor is also his son's professor, maybe. I recommend reducing that last long dialogue.

    Thank you.
While I cherish brevity, flash fiction doesn't allow any room.
Great thought about Dad being the professor.

Hi

This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that!!

I think I would've liked some notes. Everything ended so suddenly.

We don't know why dad ran mom off. We don't know why the child is so mad at his dad. Maybe it was simply that his dad did run off his mother.

It seems that the kid hated his father was never going send him birthday card or tell him his kids names. I mean, that's a lot of anger

I enjoyed reading your story

Good job. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you. Flash fiction is always a problem. I was one word under the limit.
Dad is a jerk. He ran Mom off (stated) and threatened to run the boy to homelessness (probably hoping he lost his scholarship). Dad is only housing his son because it is child support duty as long as he is a student.

I was close. I did catch the reference to him throwing the kid out if he didn't keep his GPA up. But I didn't connect to all the hate the boy had for his father I should've. You gave all the clues in your story and I just missed one of them and it's my bad not yours. Your story was fine.
