This is a beautifully written poem with great Bibicalic symbolism. It also reminds me of the great Maya Angelou who had the gift of writing and eloquent speech.

I like "divine finger paint". God gave the rainbow as a sign He wouldn't drown out the world ever again. And one song about this covenant says, "He signed it with the rainbow."

Yes, I knew about the Bible's rainbow verse in Genesis from my catechism classes. The Flood intrigued me when I was little. I didn't understand why wanted to kill everyone on earth, except Noah and his family.
