Hey friend, there are a couple issues with this piece:

-a comma instead of an apostrophe (God,s where I assume you meant God's)

-you have eight syllables in your second line, which would get this piece disqualified

I took off a star to get your attention, so you have a chance to correct this in time. Message me back after fixing and I will add a star.

Regard,

🦍

You still have eight syllables in the middle line, FYI

Where are the 8 syllables I am not understanding I checked the dictionary red - orange is 2 syllables
reply by SimianSavant on 10-Aug-2024
It's three. "Orange" is two syllables. Some American dialects might pronounce it as one, but in the dictionary it is listed as two.

    God's bright tapestry

    Red-0range leaves carpet the ground
The second line has 7 syllables red-orange is 2 leaves is 1 carpet is 2 the is 1 ground is 1
That makes 7 or am I reading this wrong?

You are reading it wrong. Red-orange is 3:

    red - 1
    orange (or-ange) - 2

Ok so I'm reading there is actually a fair bit of controversy on this subject. Maybe it can be one or two. I'd just hate to see the judges insist it is two, and DQ you. I don't know what they will say.

I love the oranges and reds of autumn leaves too! You have captured that love beautifully in this poem. Great job! Good luck with this poem and happy writing!
