An excellent entry for the Ode to Autumn writing prompt. Yes! Relief is what we feel the first day those temps drop down and we feel a slight nip coming in the air after a hot humid summer. Thanks for sharing.

I think this was a great poem for the 5-7-5 ode to autumn contest. You got the syllable count and subject matter right, and you mentioned "autumn" in the poem. You're right that summer has been cruel! Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.
