This was a fantastic story. You are an excellent writer. I look forward to seeing the last chapter and reading as you start you next book. What a great imagination you have to take on all the Gods of Mount Olympus.

Hi Beth, thank you so much for the six stars!! I'm sorry you didn't catch it when it still had money on it. Still, the gift was most welcome!! Yes, took on the gods. Good triumphs over evil, or at least in my book, lol.
Thanks for being a part of my journey!!!

    Hugs,
    Rhonda

A very unexpected and exciting chapter. But, of course, all of them really are. I am such a romantic I love the surprise situation you have written in for Hades.

Another super posting in a memorable story!

What a terrific final chapter for your story. I wouldn't have minded seeing Hades shot, but your way of dealing with hime was much better. Excellent writing, my friend.

Hi, and thank you so very much for your six stars and comments on this chapter. Hehe, I think a lot would have liked to see that, but, then leaving it like this, I might set up a sequel.

    Hugs,

Hello Rhonda,
Ah, Persephone to the rescue. That's a beautiful picture of her. Why would anyone leave someone as gorgeous, kind and intelligent as Persephone?
The Gods are fools, just like mortals.

I like the question as to who should deal with Hades, Theo or Apollo, and the decision not to kill Hades. Then the idea of mortality and immortality lingers.
But Persephone has immortal love as well as life.

Great touch of humor with: "Don't forget to let the dog out."
A mighty fine dog, Cerebus, that three-headed pleasantry.
And the nod to the boatman of Styx too.

Part I ends well.

Best wishes.
Robert

    Hi Robert,
Thank you so much for the six star gift, especially this late in the week. It is brilliantly appreciated!!

In an earlier review, you asked about Persephone and I told you then that she was in the works! You always have a way of looking ahead.
Yes, the gods are fools!! But now, Hades has had his wings clipped and Persephone gets her man. So, by the way, does Echo!!

    Thanks again, my friend,
    Rhonda

Oh, Rhonda, this is an outstanding chapter and a bit of a surprise ending to Hades. But he appears to obey. I certainly hope so.
You know, the word in Danish for hate is 'hade' much closer to hades than hate in English. Just wanted to share this with you. I've loved the story and I'm looking forward to the last chapter. I'm also glad you're writing a new book. I will be looking forward to that.

Now, I have posted an info that I'm taking a sabbatical for a couple of months from writing my books. It's in my portfolio. I will still be on site writing reviews and entering the odd contest. I really needed this break after 10 years. A big hug, Ulla xcx

    Hi Ulla,
Thank you so much for the six stars and for the review. That's interesting about the Danish word for hate. Good to know!
I had to take a break for a bit, too, and I know I will miss your work. I didn't know about it until now, so thanks for sharing that with me. Enjoy your break. I took one recently as well.

I'm glad you will still be on reviewing, though. My next book will probably be a prequel to this one.

I've so enjoyed your taking this journey with me. Thanks for everything,
    Hugs,
    Rhonda

What a great surprise - a message of the power of forgiveness and love that overcomes the power of evil! Thanks for making it a two-part finale so that we can celebrate the end with you! Great job with this and I smiled at the reference to letting the three-headed dog out!

    Hi Helen,
Thank you so much for the six stars and for the review. I made the last chapter so long, I didn't figure I could pull it off two weeks in a row, plus, this one had a good breaking point.
I had to include Hades' pet, too, lol.

Thanks for staying with me through this whole book,
    Hugs,
    Rhonda

Good for Hades, he can change to make Persephone happy, and she can give him back his Immortality. Theo has won the war by default and hopefully little damage was done. Now we get to see Echo having all her dreams come true, I hope.

    Hi Carol,
Thanks for the review and comments. Theo has won, and there will be limited damage, but war is war...

Yes, Echo is happy. She's no longer conflicted and Theo has forgiven her for thinking of going with his arch nemesis, lol.

Another fine chapter, Rhonda....and a happy ending....of course, I'd have liked to see Hades ground up and fertilizing the back forty, but other than that, excellent!

    Hi Mike,
Yes, a rosy, happy ending. However, I did set it up for a sequel if I wanted one, as Hades is left alive...
I'm going to resurrect the prequel next, I think.

Thanks for sticking it out all the way through this year-long book.
    Take care,
    Rhonda

Brilliant! You are wrapping up all the loose ends nicely. I'm glad Hades has been reprieved, but he'd better be good. Persephone has said they can live happilly together and have children, that should keep him on the straight and narrow. Lol. I love the pictures, I tried to do what you sad but it didn't work for me. Never mind. This is coming to a very nice ending, I'll be sad to see them go. Well done, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

    Hi Sandra,
Thanks for the golden stars, such a blessing!!
I'm glad the ends are getting wrapped up. I'm trying to account for everyone, lol.
Strange about the drawings. I just open them up to their own URL, right click and choose copy address, then put it in the editor in Advanced editor and it works. Any rate, I'm glad it enhances the work. As I said, it helps me.

At last. Even Hades can be redeemed, I'll have to read up on Greek mythology, I'm sadly lacking I'm afraid, I vaguely know about Thanatos and Hypnos, but very vaguely I'm afraid, I love the way you've turned, never were the Greek Gods more Christ like, you're rewriting Greek mythology. Well done Rhonda, blessings Roy

Yes, Roy, he can be redeemed. That's why I didn't actually make him represent Satan, just a really bad servant.
Thanatos and Hypnos are real figures in mythology and I actually stayed more to their reported natures. I did, however, mess about with the actual stories from time to time. And yes, I gave them more Christian like behaviors than you Greek or Roman's did.

    Thanks for everything,
    Rhonda
