Ah, I know. It's nice when neighbors are friendly and compatible. I try to be a good neighbor but not all are easy to get along with. My neighbor from 20 years ago told me her neighborhood was like that picture in Lebanon where neighbors always talked to each other from the balconies.

LoL in Spain elder women do that too. I'm nice to my neighbors. My closest neighbor is a Trump supporter but we don't talk about politics. She is a little crazy but nice. She spends a lot of time walking around our townhouses building to guard and gossip. She is very good at telling us when we have packages at the door. She taps on the door super soft but now we know it's her. LoL
Thank you, big sister.
Love ❤️

We use text to notify our neighbors about things like that. No shouting out the door needed. Lol.

Another fine poem, Gypsy, we have neighbors that could use some of them there sour grapes for sending, but then we also have some great neighbors so they make up for the bad ones

I di not quite understand what you're trying to say in this one. It seems that one neighbor is envious of the other neighbor and so like in the tale of the fox and the grapes, calls them sour because he could not reach them. Your illustration speaks to this, and I found some understanding eith thus perspective.

It's American humor. The neighbors are annoying so the woman gives her neighbors sour grapes.
Thank you very much, RJ

Sometimes neighbors can be like sour grapes, but my experience is most of my neighbors have been excellent. Having lived most of my adult life as a military spouse, it was always comforting to know that no matter who your neighbors were, either they or you would be moving soon. LOL Thank you for sharing.

Okay, maybe it's my dark sense of humor, but I laughed at this one. Such a fun look at the cliché about sour grapes and now you resent it to them. Very humorous. I do so enjoy your poetry. Gretchen

This senryu, A Gift for Our Neighbors, has the proper formatting and sounds like the fine folks next door are about to have something to "whine" about.

Heh! Heh! Sour grapes are quite tasty when served correctly. This is an excellent piece, Gypsy. But, if you don't like them, well, you get what you sow.
God bless,
Steve

That is exactly how I feel about my one of my neighbors lol. Your poem is humorous and well spoken. I think you did an excellent job rhyming your poem.
