I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want roses in my nose because they would probably tickle me and make me sneeze. I'd sneeze them right back out.
I'm not sure why happiness would give you a fright.
It can most definitely alter your reality
I like this
"Intoxicating whispers of altered reality,"
Because sometimes when you're happy, you're really are in an alternate reality. You're not taking other stimuli in and processing it. I suppose that could be dangerous too because somebody might be trying to hurt you and you're just so giddy. You don't notice it.

I pretty much dig. This rhymes quite well and it ended quickly because I was so in the moment while reading it. Sometimes though, the flow did not seem to stay steady because I guessed the words you chose were forced on you by the effort to make it rhyme. I have fallen pray to that as well and it has caused me confusion and agitation.
