by nature I'm a loner. My family are my pets.
Sometimes I do wonder how my life would have been had I found love.

This a nice poem :) It's very short and succinct, and I like how the title is the word for when a flower blooms, symbolizing love blooming/growing :)
There is a problem with the contest prompt though: It says to use 14 words, not syllables, so I think it would unfortunately be disqualified for not following the rules.
