This is such a lovely poem. Your fifteen words show images of the mothers who cry over their children.
Note:did you mean a mother's tears (one) or plural mothers' tears.
Excellent poem, Gypsy.
Best wishes for your book of poems.

This is a beautiful 15 words poem. You have given it a stunning presentation as always and the message is so poignant and hopeful, yet heartbreaking. Very nicely done!

I like the idea of mothers' tears allowing flowers to grow during times of war. We have numerous wars going on in our world today. Thank you for the reminder of the pain. This is an excellent presentation.

This made me pause. It was beautiful in such a heart breaking way. War never ends, it just changes players. But the loss of life and the sorrow stays the same. Beautifully written. Gretchen

I love your poem, Gypsy, showing the harshness of war through a mother's tears. Your picture illustrates well how something beautiful can surprisingly grow from tragedy.

so true! great 15 word poem
deeply though-provoking
sad yet with a breeze of hope
one thing-- for some reason i kept wanting to read "mother tears" as "mother's tears" - but that could be just me, just thought i'd mention it lol
nice work and love the pink flower growing through the crack!!
thank you for sharing

Hi Gypsy, I've been reading a book called "Building Bridges" and it talks a lot about the World War II. Some of your poem reminds me of the poems that are in this book. It is a sign of future peace and happiness that flowers still bloom among the ruins. Good luck in the contest. dove

This is beautiful, gentle piece of work. One day we will no longer have mother's tears watering the flowers that bloom. Until that day we will continue to hold each other through sorrow. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, sometimes it's better to be at the coal face of battle that to be one of those that's been left at home, like mums and dads and siblings, not knowing how things are going at the front. Beautifully written as always, blessings Roy
