Life does continue, even when we sleep through it. It's funny that way. LOL Thank you for sharing this beautiful presentation and poem with us. Once again, your talent amazes me.

We are often overly concerned about what important part our lives bring to the functioning of the world around us. Truth be told, life will do just fine in our absence, it has for millions of years. I like your use of metaphorical expression and rich color tones.

I hate to sleep in. I always feel like I've missed the good part of the day. I spend the rest of the day running to catch up. It's how I was brought up, I suppose. You didn't waste daylight. This was great. I enjoyed the vignette of life gong on as usual while the heroine slept in. Gretchen

I stay up late and wake up around 9 or 10..I have ever been that way. After my mother died, my dad didn't do much parenting so nobody cared how late we slept, until he put me to work at 13 years old. I was always behind in school advancement 1 ir 2 grades behind and I was so embarrassed at school, I hated it it. But when I moved in with my aunt I catch up. Now I have a bachelor's degree.
Thank you very much for your excellent review and kind words.

This is another beautiful piece you have crafted, Gypsy. We used to see fields of Sunflowers when we visited relatives in New Mexico. All of the faced the same way and followed the sun daily.
God bless,
Steve

This poem beautifully captures the quiet yet profound moments of a morning that goes unnoticed. The imagery of dew-kissed flowers and sparrows singing love songs creates a serene, almost magical atmosphere. The contrast between the vibrant morning and the speaker's delayed awakening highlights a gentle reminder of life's ongoing beauty, even when we're not fully present. Your use of vivid imagery and the notion of "morning miracles" offers a tender reflection on the simple yet significant moments that continue regardless of our personal distractions. It's a lovely piece that eloquently celebrates the small wonders of nature and the passage of time.

Lol. I can relate! I prefer sleeping in and often go to bed too late to wake up for early morning events. I don't know when I saw the sun wake up last. Enjoyed your lovely poem of those early morning miracles!
