Only few writers have the talent and knack to reach down deep into a person's psyche and draw out the inner and outer emotions that lets reader's feel what they are reading. And you do it as well as anyone! Wish I had a six. Thanks for sharing.

Ric, I am honored by your praise. But I must say the artist deserves most of the credit. Thank you so much for the virtual six. Rod

What a cute story. The picture is a good choice for the story. I like the ending. It is written well. Good luck in the contest.

This one-hundred-word story, Flying High, has the proper word count and finds the sweet time that Sally found out that Danny was the one in a million.

Well you know just how to hook the reader in with your excellent dialogue and image! Love the momentum of the story, the pumping action of the narrator's legs and the final climactic exclamation! A strong contender! Good luck! Debbie

I'm not sure I see the conflict or the resolution in this short story. We do have characters and a setting. So those two elements are met. I would look this one over with a focus on the remaining two elements. The structure and editing are solid.

Good luck.

We might quibble over the definition of "conflict," but I appreciate your taking the time to comment.

A very nice story with lovely exuberance of children, each trying to outdo the other in terms of qualities. An enjoyable read. Best wishes for your entry.

What airline was it that commercialized "Come Fly with Me?" Or was that song? And then I think of Leonardo acting as a pilot and getting away with it. Well done.

I think United used that song in its commercials. Thanks, Tom, for sharing my shortie.

Very cute story you managed to tell in just 100 words. You also found the perfect picture for it, by Norman Rockwell at that. I can hear my grades schoolteacher yelling if any of us tried to double swing.

An excellent entry for the 100 Word Dash writing prompt. A very cute flash story. I like how you based it on the cover of a Saturday Evening Post. Nice job.

This is a really cute second grade flash fiction story. The dialogue is authentically seven year old conversation. The artwork and story pair perfectly. Best wishes in the contest.
