This seems like a love story can't tell if it's male or female talking. I suppose it doesn't make any difference if you could go either direction
Sometimes love makes you excel sharply, and it can seem like your heart is pounding and falling apart
That's an interesting dynamic because you could say what you did
Makes me fall apart
But you could also say
Makes it fall apart (meaning the heart falls apart)
Did you think about that? Of course it's your poem so it's up to you
