Children do have an innocent faith. It horrible that as we age, we lose that innocence. I know we have to survive in the world, but I wish life wasn't like that. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem with us.

Such a clever visual, perfectly complemented with your fun and exhilarating senryu of children rejoicing in nature's golden playground. Well done, Gypsy. Take care Debbie

I loved seeing the kiddos jumping from cornstalks. When I was young, we would climb mounds of dirt and jump off of or roll down them. So much fun. Thank you for sharing this remarkable piece.
God bless,
Steve

It is indeed something that children generally tend to do. Although I doubt very much that they ever consider it as such. In many ways, children are fearless, not having yet experienced the short comings of older life experiences.

I'm looking at the picture and wondering how deep the water is but maybe that's not water - just the unknown. That's the amazing thing about kids - they have such trust so that they can "take a leap of faith."

The page breaker is golden dust. (*=*) it took me hours to find the right pictures and adjust them with my Paint program. I may change it again. LoL
Thank you very much, Big Sister.

Hi, Gypsy
Why the heck didn't you put this in the 5/7/5 contest? Maybe it costs a little bit of money maybe that's why.
I'm trying to figure out what the leap of faith is. Do they jump off of the pile of corn stocks maybe and maybe that's a little dangerous? I've never done it so I don't know
We had a lot of corn growing in Indiana, and they were cornfields near us like almost in our backyard. And yes, they turned yellow when they got old.
I think they even
fed chickens maybe with those stocks I don't know if they can chew them the way they need to be done
I'm still not clear what leap of faith is. Unless it's literally taking faith for God.
I enjoyed reading your poem
Good job. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you very much, Pam.
The leap of faith (satori) is a play on words and an , aha!, moment.
Leap of faith is a phrase that means you do something without knowing the outcome but have faith that will work out. It also means if you believe in God you will do something with faith in God that it will work out.

I love that saying that children are naturally trustful so they trust without thought, no wonder God says children are the example of being heavenward than we are who have experience, they do it naturally, we need to be the same with God, beautifully written, blessings Roy
