I note this is fiction but it wouldn't surprise me if it was actually true! What a scene you portray here with humour and horror blended into one! My 5 year old grandson would adore this, fire and all:)) Good luck in the contest! Take care Debbie

Some of these inventions are way out, and some should be banned. It's a bit worrying, isn't it. Your clever flash fiction might be fiction now, but... Hmm. Well done, it's a story that also gives out food for thought. Good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

This is cool flash fiction. Those AI creature disturb me. I'm afraid at some point this technology is goint to get out of hand. I think you better know what the thing can do before throwing any sticks. LOL Good luck in the contest.

I liked reading this short-short 75-word story about a robot dog that has an extra feature that may not prove to be so beneficial. I had to go look this up since you had author notes that it was base on something you really saw. So... here is a quote that made me wonder what happened the other 5 percent of the time: "In five trials, their robot dog was able to use its flamethrower with an average of 95 percent of the flame being focused on the weed." I wonder if that is what inspired your story, ha ha. Nice entry, good luck in the contest.

I guess the battery inside the robotic dog caught on fire? So many products do this - not just phones but hovercrafts...But I checked on google and saw that there is such a thing called a Thermonator. That's crazy! Why would anyone "need"/want that? Thanks for sharing! Best wishes in the contest!

Seriously?!? Oh my goodness. This is alarming, for sure and in the hands of someone evil, stupid, or both. A scary one for the flash!
Sending you my best today as always, and my good wishes for the upcoming vote.

This short piece is humorous and effectively delivers a surprising twist. The scenario of a robot dog causing chaos is both entertaining and clever, making it a memorable read.
The humor in the story is a significant strength. The contrast between Bob's nonchalance and the robot dog's unexpected behavior adds a delightful twist, especially when the robot dog ignites the fence.
Given the brevity, the setup works well, but a tiny bit more context on why the robot dog might shoot fire could add depth. The rapid transition to the fire and sirens is effective, but a small pause or added reaction could enhance the punchline. But again, I know you're in a 75 word constraint so probably not possible. This concise piece packs a punch with its humor and surprise. It's a fun read with a clever twist. Well done!

I wouldn't have a Robo dog if you give it to me. That thing is ugly as sin. I wish you the very best in the contest. May you have a wonderful weekend and a good day. Patricia.

I honest believe all this robot stuff isn't at all good. I'll keep my furry friend, even if he does bark, a lot, and poop in the yard, a lot. LOL Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I enjoyed reading and good luck with the contest.
