I like it. Children have a much purer vision of the face of God than we seem to have as grown-ups. Your tanka shows it well, both in the construction of the poem and your choice of presentation.

Beautifully written and presented writing. I believe that the innocence of children give them a better view of who God is. I once asked a kid who he thought God was. He quickly replied that he did not know, but that he can tell when God speaks to him. Such is the uncomplicated vision of childhood.
