I need to catch up on your story. Last week, I had a bad bout of bronchitis, and I'm finally getting over it. I'm glad Eleanor found out where Megan is being held.

Wonderful chapter again, Carol. Lots of action asnis it all but here Eleanor comes up trumps. She now knows where Megan is. There's hope. I love it. It was lovely to see the judge go down. Hugs, Ulla xcx

Yes...the judge really needs to get his before this is all over...not only was he corrupt but he treated Margaret very badly. She needs to get her punches in too. Thanks again, Ulla.

Well done, Eleanor, I knew her soft persuasive voice would help. Nick wasn't really wicked.

Garth is now best buddies with Donatelli and Danny, and soon Danny will be pleased when he finds out Megan's whereabouts are known now.
AND the Boyle has been caught!! Love it!! I still have more to read. I'm having a great time catching up. Off I go again. :)) Sandra xxxx

The benefits of being a ghost! She can get places noone else can. She has the information. Now to secure the release of the girls. Good work from Danny and the two law enforcement teams. The judge will soon be getting what he deserves. He seems to have fully incriminated himself! Very exciting and well written.

    Good morning, Wendy!
Yes, Eleanor can travel fast! And it appears though she can't do it herself, she can get things done! Thanks for another review.

BOO is reading, Bayside, name sounds familiar? Was Bayside on the TV series, 'Saved By The Bell?' Remember, we must get him on record admitting to selling the stolen paintings. That recording is our ticket to putting him behind bars for good." OK, a sting operation to catch a crook, rather, catch that judge! Reading...dilapidated, yep, not sure the meaning but a nice word to add to my vocabulary. "I still worry about teaming up with a crime boss. You going to pull a fast one on us, Danny boy?" Hum, wonder if this crime boss can be trusted? Continuing , Doyle faltered, his eyes narrowing. "These are real. I have no reason to deceive you." OK, these are genuine paintings, right? Reading, "Wait! What's your final price?"

Doyle paused and turned around very slowly, assessing his opponent. "Five million. You can have all five paintings for that price. It's your last chance." Hum, wonder if they agree to this tidy sum of doubloon? Reading...Eleanor, who had watched from the rafters, smiled. "Thank you, gentlemen. Nice job tonight. Now it's my turn." Hahaha! The ghost is watching. Reading...Nick's voice, barely more than a whisper, carried a chilling revelation. "Auction... soon... the girls... on sale... to the highest bidder." Hum, she's being sold at an auction at the pier 17, docks. Guess that I stay tuned to the next episode to see what transpires.

BOO!

Hope the on-duty nurse won't get in trouble for leaving Nick alone with some unknown nurse. Anyway, Eleanor has her information.
I'm glad that Garth and Donatelli and Danny could all work together to make this happen. But is Akira one of the team or was he a real buyer of illegal art?

One of Garth's team...just playing a role. Did a good job too!
Yes, Eleanor got what she needed. I had intended on her talking to the real night nurse but I got ahead of myself and it didn't happen. Just a tiny flaw.
Thanks for the review and the comments.

it's good the Judge was so greedy. They have plenty of evidence of his career as an art thief to send him up for at least a little while. If they can prove he is selling the girls, he may go up for the rest of his life.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Megan has certainly learned a lesson also, if they find her in time.

As always, you throw out some bread crumbs making us think the judge is in custody, the pictures confiscated, but now it will take quick actions to save Megan and girls from being auctioned off. Making the paintings seem secondary. :-) Thanks for sharing.

Yay!!!! Eleanor has managed to find out the location of Megan! Good for her. Now to get the information to the right people and get there in time, lol.

Getting ahead of myself, back to the earlier part of the chapter... very well written and exciting. We find the judge getting his just rewards after trying to sell the paintings, which, I'm guessing, are fakes, but still...

Great job of orchestrating all your characters and for providing the proper blending of action and suspense. Okay, one down...Judge has been captured...

Hugs,
Rhonda

Actually, the judge has the real paintings stolen...then he has forgeries made to replace those in Bayside's gallery so no one would be wiser....he sells the originals over seas...except this time he got greedy and tried it at home.
And Eleanor makes a wonderful sleuth!

The set-up for this sting is very well described. The judge's reaction is believable, and you have left us with a great dangler at the end. As they say, 'It ain't over till the fat lady sings'!

A few minor things I noticed. I'm surprised there aren't more, considering the cracking pace you're setting to stay ahead of the game.

clandescent meetings (clandestine?)
the best friend's club (friends'?)
my interest in the paintings is genuine. However, I must be certain of its authenticity. (their authenticity)

Looking forward to the next part.
