That's for dem sure Joan. I have two couples I know who are leaving the country if Trump gets elected. I just lay here bedridden in this nursing home wondering what changes may be made in the health care system.

This sounds difficult to do but you're done an excellent job with it.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the review and the encouragement, Katie. I would not go as far as to leave the country. But I would worry about our freedom and our health care system.

I really enjoyed this poem and the points made. I am so incredibly tired of the vile nastiness among people these days mostly all due to the political arena. Thank you for sharing.

Unfortunately, the choice is poor, and even more unfortunately the disunity and hatred is destabilising the country. I can't see why it must be so. A good and wise leader should be respectful and kind to all, and show by his/her integrity and humility that they are worthy of leadership for the benefit of the whole country.

An interesting poem about our current political race going on. I know who I'll vote for, but the main thing is that we all get out and vote. Our future depends on it.

I think you speak for the frustrations of a lot of people who are not happy with the choices these two political parties keep laying at our feet. I'm getting tired of both of them, I think we need a third way forward. Harris is someone who I don't know if she has done anything meaningful in her career, and Trump I don't trust and I don't think he has the skills necessary to the job either. Either way, Wall Street wins, I think. estory

It is sad to see how nasty political debates can get in the run up to an election, politicians on each side should be grown up enough to treat each other with respect, no matter if agree with them or not. A well written piece, I enjoyed reading it.

I'm raising my hand here to be counted among those who wish they'd both vacate. Have there ever been two more horrible candidates? I'm going to write in my dog's named on Election Day. I'm only sort-of joking.

Great job with this challenging poem form! You hit it out of tge park. Xo

Thanks for your comments and for all the stars, Rachelle. I am glad Biden dropped out. I wish Trump joined him. I think I would vote for your dog (ha ha).

Very cool poem. But way above my head lol! I like the message though and I think it is a very cool way to write poetry. I have not tried this method and I don't believe I could. Keep up the good work.

Over the past several years, our political climate has totally shifted. Who started using curse words? Now, political figures easily use the words 'hell,' and 'damn.' When I was a kid, my mom would have threatened to wash our mouth out with soap if my sisters or I used either word. Watching the current races for the White House, I understand why folks used to call it, "dirty politics."
