Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. I can honestly say that when I sit by a creek or anywhere and silently reflect on my previous husband, it's not sadness. It's gratitude that I got out of that situation alive. I enjoyed reading and your presentation was excellent.

Very cool, indeed. A requiem can be for a deceased relationship every bit as for a deceased person. Well done, with such an intense and hauntingly beautiful graphic to spotlight the well-chosen words. Perfection! xxoxo

The empty promises that seem to be a backdrop for this, whisper like the water. Some visits bring peace, while others only stir up pain and reopen old wounds. This poem was beautiful as it told a story of incomplete love. Gretchen

Although I do not quite know all the phrasing of this poetry form, I do understand the aspects of flow and connectivity in the written word. This does an excellent job of both. I also like the imagery that the picture brings in complementing the overall delivery.
Well done.

This has my mind in a whirlwind. Did she kill him or her, did they kill themselves, or is she dead? What an intriguing piece you have crafted, Gypsy.
God bless,
Steve

A dark and poignant verse primarily about death and the "last walk" of the past. But, simultaneously, of nature's transience and empathy in its own song of a requiem chant. Beautifully presented. Thanks for sharing. Debbie

I like that that water sings a "requiem" as it seems that the relationship is over or the loved one is dead. At any rate, places of water always bring some solace and comfort.

Yes, he could be dead or the relationship may have come to the end.
