I just loved this haiku, Marival. It just says it all. The illustration goes so very well with this. Thanks also for the extensive notes, which explains it all. Un abrazo y besitos, Ulla xcx

Hmm, with that haphazard holding of the moon, I guess the tide levels have changed and the seas have been set on a wild cycle with the moon's tug altered. Fun poem and pictures!

Well it certainly seems that she came about this action very quickly, without counting the cost. I am not certain which image was meant to come first, but the lower one makes me think that her first action of haphazardly holding the full moon, resulted in her stepping into or approaching turbulent water. To me, this gives a warning to the way we choose to live.

I love the recklessness of youth epitomized in this entertaining ekphrastic write. Thanks for the information about contemporary haiku. I confess to being a bit stick in the mud when it comes to my own haiku. But that doesn't stop me enjoying all the ways the form comes to life in your skilled hands.

Thanks for sharing, inspiring and teaching!

Blessings, Cheryl

This poem beautifully captures the image of an impetuous maiden holding the moon, symbolizing both beauty and recklessness. The use of "haphazardly" effectively conveys a sense of whimsical carelessness, a compelling and evocative piece that combines delicate imagery with a hint of chaos.

This poem caused to think of Sami and her impetuous nature. LOL Thank you for sharing this and causing me to smile. I completely enjoyed the entire presentation.

LoL yes, I can see why this poem would remind you of Sami. She is a very independent and spirited young lady.

    Thank you very much, Barbara.
