WooWoo!! Eleanor is going great guns!! The judge is going to be doing his nut when this all comes out. Now we sit back and watch this all play out. I love it when Eleanor is in the chapter, she's such fun. I want her to meet Charles again. Then he'll have a heart attack and they will walk off into the sunset!!!! LOL. :)) Sandra xxx

No reading my finale before the rest young lady.... lol This author thought she had it all figured out and then her brain made a few changes, but I am happy with it now. I have to read and get some more $$$ for the last three chapters 24,25, and 26 for Sunday.

This is great writing, my friend. I can't believe you post a chapter a day and a really great one at that. I enjoyed popping in and I was able to catch up quickly thanks to your well-developed story line. The character list helped too.
Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the contest.

Hello, Sally. Nice to see you... You are just in time to read all the good chapters with the action and the finale by Sunday. That is if the story hold your interest. It's been a fun ride for me. Totally out of my usual space but I like it.

The pace and twists and turns of this novel leave me breathless! How clever of you to bring in someone from "Ellie's" past and reveal (at least for now) that the judge was responsible for her murder. I couldn't help bu speed read through this with breathless anticipation and then sit back and read it again smiling at your clever plot twists and always wonderful writing!

Hang on sweet Karenina.... the roller coaster is on the downhill roll. Look out. There's a lot of action in the next few chapters. Go...go...go!

I got another gift from the aftermath of the tornado...while clearing things, I managed to play fissy face with poison ivy. My eyes are swollen and my entire face itches. Fun!

OH come ON! It's about to tell God that you appreciate His faith in your ability to withstand adversity...but you've pretty much reached your limit!

Wow, Carol, I believe this is one of your best chapters yet. The story is really coming together now. Eleanor, is a wonderful addition to your story. Well, in fact, she is the hero and the common factor. I love it. A big hug, lots of love, Ulla xx

Thank you, Ulla. The next few chapters are action backed and move real fast...like a ball downhill. I simply adore Eleanor's character. I didn't think I'd like writing another ghost story but this one has been fun!
Thanks for the awesome stars and for sticking with me.

Oh dear, you just got it all, haven't you,? I have been in a cat 4 tornado back in 2003 in Missouri, so not unfamiliar. We went down into the basement shelter but we were spared by a miracle. Not everyone were that lucky. 46 people died during those few days in May. I will never forget it. Poor you! Xx

WE got the outskirts I thinks. 92mph winds snapped off most of the trees along the river for about three or four miles. Just sticks everywhere. At least the houses for the most part were saved.

Where are you in states if you don't mind me asking?.

Illinois...close to the Wisconsin line and about 100 miles or so from Chicago. I live in the country and I love it....except for the storm.

Ah, I know Illinois and Missouri so very well. Now I know roughly where you are. It's beautiful there. I'm going to New York in a month spending a few days there and then I take the the train up to Mass to visit my brother and family there. I can't wait.
I was a flight attendant for twenty years so I know the US very well. Then in 2003 I found my birth parents and it turned out I am half American. My brother and I shared the same father. We have become very close. Xx

What an awesome find! My husband found his birth family after his adopted family passed but things didn't go as he hoped and I think he was hurt deeply a second time when his birth mother refused to acknowledge him. I couldn't imagine turning my back on a precious child regardless to their age.
reply by Ulla on 22-Jul-2024
I know. I can well imagine how much it must have hurt. I have been so lucky. My adoptive parents were long dead when I found my real family. It's a very long story and a wonderful one. Both my birth parents are dead now. I'm so looking forward to seeing Reuben and Kimberley and all the rest. Flying over on the 27th August. Xx

I was surprised to know Eleanor and Danny Veraci had backstory. I expected Danny to be a bad guy since he is a crime boss. However, he will be one of my favorite characters if he can help Eleanor. Each chapter you present something new. Now, we can watch the crime boss go to work toward a positive outcome.

I don't like to make all my characters strickly bad guys...everyone has a good side of them if they'd just let it show. Eleanor was Danny's soft spot!

I have a question. If Eleanor is a ghost, why doesn't she know where Megan is being held? Just a thought that popped into my mind while reading this chapter. You're the author, so I'm sure you have a plan.

she's a ghost and isn't quite aware of all her capabilities yet and she's quite busy trying to "put out" firest everywhere. She's on her way to Megan as soon as she can.

I liked the connection between Danny and Eleanor. Were they married before she met Charles? And was she pregnant with a baby with Charles? I'm glad the Danny is willing to help Eleanor. Maybe without the judge in town, he will find a new life.

What a chapter! Another person who loved Eleanor - and now might prove to be very helpful to her. Good to have connections sometimes, even if he is a crime boss - that will give an entry into the art world and with the other crime figures. Let's hope he can work well with b oth Donatelli and Garth - it will be an unlikely threesome. Well written.

A very unlikely treesome but I think Danny's feelings for Eleanor will help him hold it all together as they get down to business.

It turns out Eleanor is "connected", and Danny has a lot of power, although he seems a little nervous about taking on the Judge. Obviously, he loved Eleanor when they were very young, and he still loves her. The more we learn about Eleanor, the more the reader has to admire her and realize she was very beautiful and smart. This is a great addition to her story.

Danny has gotten a little soft as he ages and prefers not to make waves unless he absolutely has to, but for Eleanor he'd do anything.
    I love Eleanor.......

So we discover that Eleanor had a boyfriend called Danny, when young who loved her, but like so many that think fulfilment comes from success is learning the price we can pay, for not embracing the really good life of sowing the worthwhile things into your life, well done Carol, , blessings Roy

Yes, Danny thought he knew what he wanted in life, but he couldnt hang around and wait for Eleanor to finish school so off he went into the wide blue yonder..... to regret it the rest of his life.
