This seventy-five-word poem, Forewarned, has the proper word count and seems to remind me of the recent assassination attempt. The bullets were replaced with errant golf balls. I bet a soaring golf ball would do some damage as well.

Hi
This is a witty poem. Gavin has a good reason for his anger. The words used generally mean something worse than a golf ball. But even I , a non-golfer know the word fore. Though with this new golfer maybe Gavin's life is in danger with a golf ball hitting him in the head.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great day and week.
Joan

Lol this one got an actual chuckle out of me. For some reason the fact that it was truly an obvious ending, it had not occurred to me and that made it even funnier. Nice job.

I like how you have taken an event in the life of a golfer and shared with us the hazards that accompany the sport. Then you provided humor and a glimpse into our forgetfulness when we are under stress. We've all been there be-"fore". Thanks for sharing.
