The poem is well thought out and it's so obvious you have a deep regard for the lady in question.
The limericks at the end are class.
These are so hard to write and keep the wit intact.

Thank you so much, Tim, for your generous review and kind words. I don't do poetry, and I haven't entered contests of any kind for years. The two recent contest poems were done for two gals who pleaded for me to try. As I've often said, when it comes to poetry, I wouldn't know a sonnet from sorbet. But this review tells me a lot about you in a short minute: a kind person who offers nice words of encouragement when he could pick something to pieces. I appreciate You already, a great and needed addition to the site. WELCOME!

I do give 4 stars and even have been known to give a 3 but always I try to find something positive, even if I am trying to suggest ways to make improvements

Thank you so much, Tom, for your generous review and kind words. Yes, I've been gone about five weeks and man I'm glad to be home. I tried to drop in a read a couple times, but I finally got so far behind that I had to just dump and start from scratch. I sure missed all the stories. Karen actually set up her own contest. So, just look in the contests and write a Limerick. I didn't realize it was suppose to be a Limerick and added the Limerick later. LOL. I guess I'll call it a senior moment. God bless, my friend!
