You can't create much of a meaningful poem in just six words; However you managed a rhyming statement. Well done. The clock in you poem must be contemporary. Modern clocks are silent.

This is very clever and an excellent use of a minimum words. These writing prompts are giving me a entirely new perspective of what a poem can be, and your example is excellent. Thank you.

No that's true, our main clock in our living area doesn't go tick tick, nor the clock in our bedroom heh heh, in fact none of the available time pieces have a tick, or a tick, great post, great thought, good luck, blessings Roy

When the clock stops you had better start worrying as your time is up, I enjoyed your few words here as they made me smile, there is never enough time left. Love Dolly x x x x x x x

I really like this. The words and imagery. It reminds me of my childhood I had a toy clock similar for learning the time. Short and sweet but brought me so many memories, thanks for that. Best wishes.

I think "did'nt" should be "didn't" unless you did that on purpose. If you did, I completely missed the point. I'm guessing you counted "tic-toc" as two words. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Hi, Gunner Lil

This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that!!

What a stupid clock. It can't even go tic-toc. I guess tic-toc Is a term that's used to describe a clock whether you can hear tic or a toc or not

Now, most clocks are so silent. Do we still use the words tic-tic when there is no sound?

It's kind of like that age old question about a tree falling in the forest and if nobody's there, is there any sound. After all, nobody was in the forest so nobody heard that sound

I enjoyed reading your poem

Good job. Thank you for sharing.
