The first is a sad commentary on our current state of our political system and the last is a truth we can't avoid. Isn't there anyone in the generations that came after us who are capable of leading? If this is all we have, what do we do when they're gone? Sad. I'm still hopeful. Well done. Good luck in the contest and stay well.

This is such a controversial subject to tap into. Your feelings definitely came through in your wording. I'm not for positive but using assassination means he was killed you probably should have used assassination attempt. To be gramatically, and politically correct.
