I really enjoyed this, and I hope you continue with more stories, I also get a good feeling from church, especially the Pentecostal church, the singing was so much fun.

This is a very well-rounded story and I very much enjoyed listening to it. When I was going through the first throws of bipolar disorder I was doing some strange things in church and I was not aware of what I was doing. One of the ladies who I had gone out of my way to pick up to take to church for Bible studies, and to the worship services went to my pastor, and she said I have the gift of discerning of spirits, and I discern an evil in Pat. my pastor was very understanding and he knew that there was something wrong with me, but he knew it was an elder and it was not an evil spirit in me because he knew my faith. The churches one place were people need to come to an understanding about mental illness and it needs to change even today I think there are some who don't understand that. Patricia.

Thank you for your review and your openness in sharing your experience with bi-polar. I have bi-polar as well and I have had bad experiences with not just church people, but my closest friend. She told me that if I was as close to God as I seemed to be and claimed to be, that I would not have bi-polar. It was a lack of faith in my spiritual walk with God. That hurt and I know it hurt you when your church friend acted this way to you. The church is to be like a hospital for the broken, the sick and the needy. Chemical imbalances are sickness of the brain. I agree with you the about views of sone church people. Thank you for taking the time ti read and write a review.

Another strong chapter. I like how you are showing us the the challenges your mother faced. Your writing is excellent. There is a strong emotional thread running through this story. Especially with Kimberly, and her observations as a child.

Hi, lynglyng. I hope you are well
I used to go to church as a little girl. I think I stopped going there when I was about six years old. At that time, my mother gave us a choice whether to go or not to go and I decided not to go.
Recently, I've found God. I still don't go to church because I'm so disabled that I can't. So I have to worship at home.
Did you stay with the church when you grew up?
Here you have a extra p in leather
" Impala with matching pea-green, pleather seats. I remember "
Here ditch the when
" One particular day when I noticed we were traveling to the Winn-Dixie to get groceries, "
Here the possessive of Jesus is Jesus'
They were all is if the word her name ends in an S and you want to make it possessive you just add a single quote after it
" Jesus's love while she passed out Kool-Aid a"
Here as hard as I could
" I stomped my black, patterned leather shoe down as hard on the wooden floor. "
I enjoyed reading your story
Good job. Thank you for sharing.

Unfortunately, your insight into the "wicked witch" is spot on. I believe that the basis of their beliefs is fear and not the kind of love Christ preached - and demonstrated. However, judgement belongs to the Almighty and our responsibility is to forgive and embrace. Thanks for sharing your story. I have one comment: try not to rely too heavily on the passive voice. Don't shy away from using it but use it sparingly. A more active voice will increase the tension and pacing of your story. Have a wonderful day and stay well.

Thank you for your review and five stars. I will take your advice and try not to rely on the passive voice too much and I really appreciate your help.

Very interesting story. That must have been a scary thing for a little girl to witness her mother doing. But thank goodness you were obviously strong because you had it in you to set that horrible church woman straight. Nicely written. thanks for sharing.
