Great use of metaphors. We do wallow don't we? I'm sure many a reader will identify with that image. Your metaphor is carry the reader through to a sense of hope. It's good to end on a positive note.

This is so touching and emotional. I thought your poem shared a sense of longing and separation so powerfully. You beautifully capture the emotional turmoil of being apart from the one you love. The imagery is so well written. I especially thought drowning in tears and feeling weak and rootless summed up your feelings. That was so touching and I could feel the loneliness. I hope writing this helped and wish you the best.

Another beautiful poem, Jose! From the first line "Seperated from the one I love,' (typo - Separated), I get the feeling that your beloved is away helping her mom and this lonely picture inspired this lovely poem. Hope she will be back home with you soon!
