Mike,
How've you been?
Your story is interesting; I loved Andre the Giant, the Rock and Hulk Hogan - 'til he announced he was republican. Wrestling is another form of legal assault, like boxing. But , I'm a little ashamed to say it's also entertaining.
Your story is about abuse; you have the reader's empathy for the Rabbit.
I believe in forgiveness; but it would be difficult in Rabbit's case, because his mom is a repeat offender.
A very sad story, Mike. I hope things get better for Michael.
Have a great weekend, Mike,
Best wishes,
Cindy

Hi Mike,
I love your tale of adventure for three young boys in Xenia. It seems Rabbit recently received quite a beating from his mother with an extension cord. He's working on forgiveness, but she is not. She's got a new boyfriend, Bill, who she's acting up a bit with.

A great description of the wrestling matches. I felt like I was there, and through the eyes of someone who was. It was very exciting.

Thanks for your tale!
Rhonda

What a captivating read with the mood and the characters coming through clearly in each scene. You make it very easy to empathise with Rabbit. Reading the story feels like watching a movie!

Even if Gloria is only in a good mood because of a new boyfriend, at least Rabbit has a good time. This was a good long extension of the tale. I really enjoy this coming of age story. Gretchen

I love this little boy and his friends, he has a good soul and wanted to forgive, unfortunately the mom had her stubborn views and was harsh. No errors noted.

We all need an escape from reality now and then, and that's the theme of this post to me. I thought you did a good job of describing Rabbit's bitter feelings to his mom, his attempt at forgiving her, and his determination to get away on that bike. The sense of freedom you describe has us soaring with Rabbit there. The night at the wrestling match, though it seems planned as an outing for Rabbit's mother and her new love interest, turns out to be another great escape for him and his friends. estory

I remember those wrestlers. I watched them as a kid also. I gre up in Detroit and me and my best bud Billy used to watch guys like Dick the Bruiser, the sheik, Bobo Brazil and others. You certainly brought back some great memories with this great story. I cannot thank you enough.

pappa55mike, this is a really interesting story! And I feel like I've just been to a wrestling match! You captured the whole atmosphere of everything so well! I want to read more! Yesterday I reviewed this, and I made a mistake in the I said I rarely got a swat on my behind. I meant to add, when out in public! At home, different story! But nothing like Rabbit, poor kid!! I was kind of lost, not having read any of the prior installments. I liked the story. Maybe you can put a cast of characters in your author's notes.thank you fr sharing.

The reader is going to be drawn in because we don't really know what's going on we don't know what what happened. We will stay with it till we find it out. I have anxiety just thinking of him standing there. Last night I watched Netflix with the the story of the new fellow that's going to be Trump's vice President. What a violent situation that was. So stay at standing here or sitting or watching this boy stand near his mother makes me nervous. I have a whole different viewpoint and perspective on forgiveness I can tell you about it someday but it's a little long.
