You've certainly brought up many things that most of us have been concerned about for a while now. Congratulations on your contest winner!
Thanks for sharing.

I love this! The Manufacturer, what a fabulous way to call God. Lol. I'm sure if he reads this, He'll laugh. But what you have to say is very important, and it would be nice to get some solid response. I think you'll do well with this entry, it's so different to the norm. Well done and good luck!! :)) Sandra xx

Thank you for the interesting take on this contest entry. I am sure God is in Heaven shaking His head at the mess we've made of things. I enjoyed reading and good luck with the contest.

I've not decided on whether the manual is in error or the interpreters need to be better informed. You pose quite an interesting letter to God. He listens, but I'm not sure anyone else does.

That's a fair comment. I'm not sure either. Thank you for your review!

Hello again AZ.
A fine letter to God. Of course, a letter requires a carrier. Who can deliver this letter, and where would he/she deliver it. The Greeks would have used Hermes, but, alas, he was also a god. Of course, being omniscient, God already knows your questions.
Three words come to mind. Omnipotent, omniscient, and paradox.
Omniscient implies that God is aware of all the contradictions and is okay with them.
Omnipotence is beyond, perhaps beyond understanding. Combine the two "Os" and Lucifer is an interesting creation. An Archangel is going to rebel against his own omnipotent Creator? Nonsensical. Then Lucifer creates such havoc in Heaven, that God banishes him to his creation called Earth. Omniscience suggests God knew Lucifer would rebel, and also knew he'd create similar problems on Earth. Should Adam and Eve been able to outsmart an Archangel? Why not banish Lucifer to Pluto where he can build ice castles?
Alas, a paradox. Created by God or man?
Let me know if you receive a reply and how you know it is from God.
Best wishes.

When the rules don't make sense, and the logic seems to eat itself in a paradox, I'm left to wonder what information do we not have? The Vatican has so many things stashed in its vault. The Bible has been canonized so many times in history. I wonder if the missing pieces would bring clarity to these existential wonderings we all have. Thank you so much for your review.

So good! I was wondering at first if I'd read the contest title correctly. But that was your trump card of surprise as your wonderful letter to God expanded on all the small print of instructions that were causing you and millions of others to feel lost in their ambivalence. This is an original and, at times, humorous take on the brief which kept me fascinated all the way through. If there's any justice in the world, this will be a strong contender! Take care Debbie PS small edit - due (to) its erroneous implications...

This is very well written. It's unique... and I love the clever way you wrote your letter to the manufacturer, instead of to God. That was very creative.
It's very neat and to the point. Well done!

This is a great one. One of your absolute best. It's very creative you provide lots of examples of how questions arise about the advice in the user's manual. I've read the Southern ministers quoted scripture to show the righteousness of slavery. You bring up several of those issues--immigration, gay marriage, the death penalty, for example. I hope an answer is forthcoming. We've waited a long time for clarity on these issues. Best of luck in the contest. This certainly looks like a winner. A+++ judi

I see in your profile that you study theology as a hobby (and write horror and science fiction, which seems to go hand-in-hand with theology sometimes). My point is that you've had plenty of experience with "the manual".
This is the best "letter to God" that I've read, and I hope you are rewarded by the contest committee. They are, after all, "customers" also, and perhaps can commiserate with your feelings here. I know that I can. "The manual" is confusing as all get out, and I abhor those who pretend to be experts at explaining it to the rest of us.
I hope God answers your questions in one of his many mysterious ways.
A very good write; I enjoyed it and was delighted to come across it this morning.

Thank you so much for your kind review, Pam. I hope we all get some much needed answers. Whether you believe or not, we share this world and the consequences of who we decide shall lead us.

No, I'm a believer, trust me. We seem to be in a bit of a tailspin here.
