Hi John,
This is a good use of eight words to describe the loss of life and homes of nature's inhabitants during a flood. It is amazing and sad the damage nature's storm can make. I like that the background is a dark as the sky during and storm and the font color could be the color of the nests.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

You bring a tragedy to us here as the storms can indeed drown the chicks and wash away the nest. Few words here, but the message is clear. We have heavy storms forecast tonight and I often wonder if the nests survive, a fine poem, love Dolly x
