I bred and raced thoroughbred horses most of my life, as did my grandfather, dad, five uncles, four cousins, a nephew, and one son. LOL. And I was always told that "Horse Sense is: "the sense that God gave horses not to bet on humans." Thanks for sharing.

You might have an uncooperative horse on your hands if you tried to wake it up. This makes a great entry for the Dribble Flash Fiction contest. Lol. The third guy is the smartest! At least, he understands that a yearling is probably sleeping at odd hours and needs to rest. That's a good horse owner. I recently read Loren's story of a sighted horse helping a blind one. Somehow horses are a theme this week! Best wishes in the contest!

I live a few miles from The International Equestrian Center, and thus the surrounding land that twenty years ago featured cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans is now Disneyland for horses. I can imagine the cost of braring a horse as expensive as sable fur.
