This is amazingly written! It showcases a young teen being prostituted out. So sad. This definitely deserves six stars! Thanks for sharing this! I can see the images as I read this.

Yes, it speaks loudly, Pam. It's a terrible world out there, especially for those alone with no money and no one to love. It doesn't take long before the evil in life catches up with these lonely people. Offering friendship, food and a room to rest in. Then they are trapped, no turning back. Your poem tells it perfectly. Well done. :)) Sandra xx

a powerful and moving poem about sex trafficking which is a modern-day scourge. But there are lots of people trafficking to work as essential slave labor in sweatshops etc worldwide as well.

Whoa. Very intense, this one. I understand it's quite prevalent because there are so many runaways these days. It's at epidemic proportion, and that's what makes it so hard to "fix." There's too many out there.

Well written post, Pam. xo

The poem does speak for itself about these dregs of humanity that traffic the young. Feed them drugs and feed them out to anyone willing to pay. Sadly it happens everywhere. Well written Pam.

Cheers

We may be quickly advancing to where there are more trafficers than officers that haven't been bought to look the other way, and the influx of innocent girls from Mexico will only add to the problem, so there must be another 100 Epstein in NYC or D.C. Sick group of perverts sit in COngress.

This is so sad. Human trafficking is so common place now. Its big business. Slavery by a different name. Your poem was a stark reminder of the lowest part of society. Those who prey on mankind. Very thought provoking. Gretchen

This is such a major problem, now. It sickens me. Thank you for bringing it out into the light. More people need to speak up about this topic and much, much more needs to be done about it.

This is a sad poem, but true. I've heard it's getting worse. The poem is very descriptive and written well. Great job.
