Welcome to Fanstory. Congrats on winning the 2-5-2 contest. You poem is simple but so true. We are but a blip in time - Here today, gone tomorrow. Scientist have estimated that approx 17 billion people have populated Earth from the dawn of man till today. So, we shall be one day one of billions that have come and gone.

Thank you! The passing of my husband made me realize that 22 years together was really a very short amount of time.

Is it better to be here than gone then it is to be gone then here? That's a philosophical question for you. I'd be afraid to be gone then here because that would mean I'm a ghost or something. Yes, we are a blip of time.
