This is a very compelling and very well written story and I'm supposing it is of you yourself. It's a shame that you had to endure that but you have come out. It seems to be a very good person and I very much enjoy your work may you have a lovely day a very good weekend and may God bless you. Patricia.

Wow, what a story. I was imagining something far worse, though, when I read that gas was pouring over poor Harry's face and one of tgecrescuers was smoking a cigarette. Oy! Very exciting tale.

Yes, but he would never get to play with that toy because he moved again and it got lost in the move. Thank you for your review!

This story flows well. Harry was the main character told from third person point of view, who spent about four months asking his mother if he could have a green Tonka Road Grader, but a severe accident means he has to wait even longer to play with it outside. The story definitely shows adversity and the need for patience.

Harry, this is a great story of endurance and courage of seven year old Harry and his green tonka road grader. My son also had the big yellow tip truck, they were obviously popular world wide. Well done Mum for getting that grader to encourage you. Tough times for all it would have been. A poignant memory shared, well told.
cheers,
valda

I liked the twist in the middle of the story, I didn't see that coming.

However, I thought you did a lot of telling in the story as opposed to showing.

But I did like the ending. He got what he wanted, but he had to pay the price for it -- and he was clearly determined to pay it in order to get what he wanted.

Well, thank you Chris. And as the story continues he never even got to play with the toy because he moved again and it got lost in the move.

A very engaging story, Harry. I loved every part, from the start with the little boy wanting the Road Grader, to his bugging his mother for it, to the accident you described well, to him deciding he would fight back. And then, the ultimate, he gets his Road Grader even if he has to wait to use it.

Take care,
Rhonda

Well, thank you Rhonda. And actually, he never did get to play with his new toy. By the time he got out of the wheelchair he had moved to Ohio and lost the road grader.

Yes, we do face challenges. Thank you for sharing this story with us.

The next day he saw that commercial on television & The next day they had to go to the store. (The following day, it has to deal with the definition of the words)

screaming and someone yelled, "is there anyone in the truck?" (Is & different people's dialogue get their own paragraph)

One man had a cigarette in his mouth, and someone yelled, "put that cigarette out!" "There is gas flowing over here." ("Put that cigarette out! There is gas flowing over here." After quotation marks at the beginning of dialogue the first word is capitalized, always. There's other dialogue here that needs to be corrected. I didn't copy them.)

This is a well-written story with an ending of hope. The time passed between Harry being crushed and being rescued kept me guessing: what next. Getting the Tanka Road Grader would likely prove to be a great motivation for him to get well fast.

Well, thank you Shanbreen. Yes, I never did get to play with the road grader. After the accident we moved to Ohio and it got lost in the move. By then - I was on to G.I. Joe's lol! Thank you for your review. I really appreciate that!

Only believe. Well written story, in which the writer has conveyed an inspiring message of hope. The word picture created leads the reader to the conclusion very effectively. Overall, worked well for this reader.
