What is 'pool play'? I don't know what that means so it's hard for me to get the other lines out of context. there not knowing what the last line means.

I think that River City was the town that they were in. But, I'm not sure what caused the trouble.

The problem for the kids in the town: instead of attending school, they wanted to visit the pool hall. LOL

The movie is worth seeing for the songs alone! It is a terrific musical. You may be able to see for free on YouTube.

I love how this plays on the musical "The Music Man." Your poem captures a sense of nostalgia and community life from it. Your poem shows the charm of small town America depicted in the musical.

The movie I saw many times as a kid. It was fun to see again at an outdoor performance at our local park amphitheater. Catchy tunes stick in our heads (-;
