Saw it and reviewed it. Nice looking mantle. Do you read this in English or do you use a translation program? I have a friend from Argentina who is my penpal in email. She used to work where i stayed for a while, we became good friends. She used her translation program on her phone and I used my computer. We both ahve translation programs on our email. Karen

Okay, i edited it.

No, I just read it. My parents were fluent in English which helped.

It's interesting ( and fun ) to have friends from different cultures.

To 'chose the sword' as so succinctly stated here in this twenty syllable poem seems to be mankind's solution to problems- the final line here is a direct plea to the Lord to help us to change tack, as it were. Well done.

Wars just make issues worse ..

Mankind still hasn?t learned from its mistakes.

We commemorate those who fell in WW1& 2 but then here we are still waging war between nations?

Hypocrites much.

This is a wonderful use of 20 syllables to create a prayer we should all say.
We need to stop war by not engaging in it at the least problem. I like the mono-rhyme.

I thought it would be cool if I could achieve a mono rhyme for this 30 syllable contest.

Our leaders waste billions on wars and thousands are dying.

I thought after the pandemic our leaders would unite to get the global economy back on track.

They did the exact opposite .

The wars have made our lives an ongoing struggle to pay the mortgage, the monthly bills , get food on the table.
