It was a shocker, to see President Biden so frail, often confused on facts, and barely projecting his voice...

I defend your right to your opinion --
that's what democracy ought to allow.

I don't share your admiration for Former President Trump.

Hey--Very well written poem though!

I like Trump because I truly thinks he cares for the country...despite all his character flaws. I feel sorry for Biden, l think it's elder abuse on the part of his wife. Thanks so .much for reading my poem. :)

It's a very important election -- we agree on that!

I guess I like the poem's flow and sense of purpose, though the message for Trump is clearly off track, as, with the exception of James Buchanan, who allowed the country to slide into a Civil War, he is the worst president of the US.

Well, l beg to differ, l think Biden is the worst president. I think that's clear, and he's dangerous with his dementia. However, isn't it nice that we live in a free( for now ) country, that allows us to express our own opinions? I appreciate you reading my poem. :)

Let's not argue about Trump. I won't ever like him, so please accept my apology for a slanted review. : )

This is a very well written take about the debate. I think Donald Trump did a great job, but watching Joe Biden made me really sad that someone would put him up on the world stage in the shape he is in. I pray Donald Trump is in the office of president again soon. Blessings, Teri

I must agree with you it wasn't a test between worthy opponents fit for office, I don't like the mocking and nit picking, I simply wouldn't vote, they make our politicians look most worthy, but debating donnybrooks are, to me, devastating. But I genuinely don't understand why they vote on opinion. I don't like trump, but being a nasty rich man is not a reasonable candidate, that would never influence my vote, but great poem, blessings Roy

I thought your poem did a great job of sharing the sense of disappointment with Biden's performance that I'm sure many feel. Your poem reflects your feelings clearly. It is well written and shares that message so clearly.

Your poem makes the reader look at Biden as he appeared on last night's debate. I agree that he looked "confused and frail" at times. I don't agree Trump "shined on the stump." An interesting format of AABA rhyming chosen but only after stanza 1. Stick to the debate as the prompt requested. There was no reason to mention Kamala Harris.

Thanks for reading. As far as l know, there was nothing in the rules about not mentioning certain names. Remember that she is just a heartbeat away from being in charge. Maybe if it happens she can laugh her way through it. I don't mean to offend, .l'm just being honest. :)

But was she mentioned in the debate?

She was not, however, she gave an interview afterward and let's face it...a vote for Biden is a vote for Kamala. I'm not sure which one is worse. I will be voting for the convicted felon.

I prayed the real Biden would surface for all to see. Can't scrub everything, CNN! Liars, tigers and bare reality, oh my! I felt sorry for Biden, truly. But I feel even sorrier for America. We done for if he gets elected again or as you said, we get stuck with Kamala Harris. I cry at the thought.
Sending you my best for the vote.

My pleasure. The decline in Biden is obvious and het he remains in office. He's not really running America and that is the most alarming thing. Who is really running America? He was elected to do it, and he can't. It's time to go. I agree with the New York Times and hooe their call for his resignation is carried out by him personally, or by Congress. Either way, our country is in a bad place right now and don't think for a minute our enemies aren't watching. Sal Xoxo
