Bill,

Congrats on winning the Humorous 5-7-5 contest. This is absolutely hilarious and a deserving winner of the contest. It is a stark warning to surely brush and floss every day or wind up like Gary with your teeth in a glass one day.

All the best,

Eugene

I can see why your poem won the humorous 5-7-5 contest! This was defintely funny, and you got the syllable count right. You made me laugh! Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Very nicely done, Bill.
I've been busy on other projects and haven't been on the site as frequently. That means I haven't read many posts, sorry.
Best regards,
Dick

Getting older I can truly relate. Luckily I still have all my teeth, but my friends and family either have partial's or no teeth at all. So your 5-7-5 gave me a laugh, which was the point.

Ewwww. So bad...and yet, here I am smirking over it. I'm obviously not going straight to Heaven, I'm thinking, irreverent soul that I am. (And I'll be seeing YOU there, obviously!!)

Funny poem...and I can't believe you found that picture to accentuate it!! HAHAHAH.

Good luck in the contest, Mystery Writer. xo

Haha! Quite a grin indeed! I think he might have lost more than just 'some' of his teeth:) Lovely image and your 5-7-5 is correctly fulfilling the format. Well done and good luck! Debbie

Now this was funny. I know there was a lesson in this but the delivery was priceless. You even picked the perfect picture to accompany it. Good luck in the contest with this. Gretchen

This is well worth six stars! I have reached an age that requires me to take meticulous care of my teeth, to avoid this Gary's fate. Your poem made me laugh, with the picture smiling back at me :-)

Well done!

Hi
This is true of many people with dentures. It is sad that everyone doesn't at least try to take care of their teeth.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Joan

This is cute, and, yes, quite humorous.

Keeps "grin in a glass". Gary is indeed lucky to be able to grin after losing his teeth. Well done. All the best for the contest.
