Love that style of expression. And the picture and song. Moon shadows is a favorite of mine. Your poetry is so beautiful it haunts me and makes me want to try my hand at poetry. Esther

I'm not able to play the video because my husband is sleeping but I love this song! Your post captures that beautiful, mystical time of evening, evoking pleasure as we contemplate the moon's reflections on the surface of the river. Well done, Gypsy! Take care Debbie

I have seen a bluish twilight, but can imagine how great this must look. Your bluish- purple, and a hint of green, make for a very spectral image. lt seems that the slightly greenish hue is coming off the river.
Beautiful poem with matching words.

Love it! I always liked Cat Stevens. This a lovely haiku describing the twilight colors and how the moon's light and shadows plays on the water flowing down.

I loved the personification of the dusk. Holding on and just flowing. Great imagery and I could feel the coolness of it. Beautifully written. Gretchen

Omigoodness!! I choreographed this song a million years ago! It's so beautiful, isn't it? You did a gorgeous job honoring it with this Haiku. I thoroughly enjoyed this post, Gypsy. xo

You are a dance choreographer? How fun and impresive. I was part of a new dance company for a couple of years in my thirties. Within the company I was part of a group of poets that performed spoken word with our own poems... it was such an intense feeling, much stronger than just reading.
Thank you, Rachelle, I always appreciate your excellent reviews and kind words.

Wow, that is VERY cool!! I wish I could have attended something so unusual and expressive!
I am nearly 70 now, so I no longer choreograph, but it was my very favorite gig for twelve years, no close seconds.

Gypsy,
Do like the construction of this Haiku.
Keeping it in the present tense, I would edit holding to holds. Methinks onto is better as one word.
Terrific artwork you paired with your entry. Color work adds to your overall presentation.

I haven't heard a Cat Stevens' song for a really long time. That ages me, a lot. Thank you for not only sharing this lovely poem and presentation, but Cat Stevens. I enjoyed the entire experience.

I was 15 years old living in Spain when the chocolate buddha record came out. My favorite songs were moon shadow and the first love is the deepest. I can't remember what I ate a week ago but the song is clear in my mind. LoL growing old sucks but the good thing about growing old is that I am still alive.
Thank you very much. I appreciate your exceptional six stars review and kind words.
