It sounds like they're best friends. They've been best friends for a long time.
Now that they've shared a kiss that could change things. But it sounds like it didn't. But I haven't figured out is if there are going to be more kisses or if it's going to go any further than that.
But, like my husband and me, we stayed best friends throughout our whole life. And we never let the fact that we were married get in the way of that.
It sounds like from the ending that they are still best friends, which is good. I would've been disappointed if they weren't.
The rhyming was spot on. Your meter is pretty good too, so the palm flows well and it has good rhythm. This was a very nice effort by you.
