unsure about "eyelids" being is this romantic yet sorrow-filled poem ... but that could be just me lol
other than that, a great senryu suite about missing loved ones
cool pics and the shades of blue are perfect
thank you for sharing!

Those senses are subtly incorporated into your senryu to create an all-encompassing sensation of loss and poignancy. Beautifully presented with a rather hypnotic, meditative tone. Thanks you for sharing, Gypsy. Debbie

You always know how to evoke all the senses in your poem! And the suite of senryu flows to show each sense. I especially liked the personification in "moon rays squeeze through the blinds searching for your eye lids"
It's always cool when you get inspiration at night. It says in Job35:10 that God is the One "Who gives songs in the night."

I know that senryu poetry are very deep, and this one certainly is. I love your engaging of the five senses, made so more intriguing with the use of the Mockingbird. This is,a strong and haunting poem, that is skillfully presented with vivid imagery.
Well done.

This was very cool . I love how the line about the moon light searched for his face. It was as if the moonlight missed him as well. Very well written. Gretchen

Oh yes, I think we would all remember the passing of a dear one, but there are others too that we can still remember, even though they may not have touched us physically, well done Gypsy, blessings Roy

The older I become, the more this becomes the harbinger of my worst nightmare. I hope it never comes to fruition - that I pass before my sweet husband.
This is another exquisite poem. It evoked all kinds of emotions for me, which all good writing does. Great work, Gypsy. xo
