This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that.
I don't think you need any notes here. It's pretty clear what you're saying. And what you're saying is the universal truth for all the Arts it's kind of luck. You have to have the right publisher reading your work.
I remember seeing an article on the Internet. And it was talking about art auctions. And she was saying be careful. Otherwise you might get the work of an amateur. And I said to her so you would not have accepted van Gogh into your gallery.? She had nothing to say after that
Van Gogh was considered an amateur at the time he lived. He wasn't appreciated until long after his death. That was only thanks to his brother Theo.
All in all, a nice poem except when you're on the other end of the critic's sword.
