But look at the lovely lemonade you've been able to make here from your lemons. That is surely a sign of healing progress, which makes me happy for you. Everyone in this life is given traumas of one sort or another to handle. We have to let go or be dragged. Glad to see you're choosing Door #!. xoxo

What a sad poem! Well written and emotive, with a spiritual element. It is hard to imagine what the trauma was, or if it was personal. But, nevertheless a nice piece of work.

Betrayal, especially from a trusted one, is a weight which effects last long in the heart. I am glad with the hope that is laced at the end of the poem. Well done, dear Belinda.

We sometimes blame ourselves when others betray us, only to realise that it is not our fault. A poignant pose and I enjoyed the sentiments here, love Dolly x x x

Author,
Your poem can be about betrayal in a relationship, or even a friendship.
You capture sadness in this poem, but you speak of hope in the end.
Excellent poem and artwork.
Good luck with this and all your writing.

Thank you, Cindy. The beauty of writing for me is when others see something different than the envisioned. You?re correct. There?s a lot of sadness. And fear. Thank you so much for your feedback.

I really enjoyed reading this poem, especially the slant rhymes such as truth and soothe, cost and loss. Also, rhymes such as break and sake, and last and past.

Thank you very much. Probably the following question is because I?m such a perfectionist. What kept you from giving the poem a higher rating? Again, I do appreciate your feedback.
