This was a beautiful tanka poem. I loved the words you used--they painted a picture. The literary devices were wonderfully used and woven into the poem. I love the colors and imagery. Well done!

So many cool pictures in your words! The eyes are like the skies and the hair is so dark like a moonless night. And the feelings of the rain and the scent of jasmine are also invoked. Nice sensual imagery!

I so appreciate your prayers, MariVal. We just took our grandson back after the whole weekend with him. I went to the chiropractor. Somehow I'm not 100% yet. I'll see if I can see my doctor sooner.

I loved that you then solidified the 'Blue mood' with the 'gypsy blue eyes and then again matching it with the cerulean sky.
This is a truly beautiful tanka not only in the obvious image provided, but paired with the magic of your craft it enters one's soul and tickles all of my senses.
