I've read that certain folk have solved their problem by deciding that they didn't want to be depressed anymore, that's how I solved mine, I had depression when my first love dumped followed by a close friend committed suicide, it lasted 18 long months, suicide was considered, but I recovered, I'm sorry, I hope that helps, blessings Roy,
