I never thought of it before that Saturday is the only day of the week that has three syllables. All of the rest of the days only have two syllables. I wish you the very best in the contest. Patricia . By the way, you have spelt wrong in your title.

I agree, though I think it is pronounced with two syllables, it needs rethinking.

Great poem for pondering some angle that others have missed. There could be a lot of reasons Saturday has three syllables, perhaps because it is a day of activities that can't be done on other days that are busy.

Funnily enough, that was always my image of Saturday - long and multi-coloured, like a row of beads. It is different from the other days of the week, and that's fine.
