Another fine poem, Gypsy, and very cool picture. Would make a cool album cover, the band would be called Desertion Squad, and the album, Hanging Orb of Doom

The Black Sea is an inspired touch in this poem. So many nuances - the actual sea so named; the darkness of the sea at night especially close to shore ( someone who has seen this told me starlight brightens the open sea) and the ominous note of mystery which is emphasized by the second line.
Dramatic and effective imagery.
Thanks for sharing

You're welcome. How is your day going? My son and his family are on a camping trip and I'm taking care of my grand dog.

I am okay. Happy to be back on Fanstory. I'd been neglecting my writing.

What an amazing Darkness Haiku. The color red in contrast with the black sea really created drama in this unique poem about the dark night with a huge strawberry moon.
Excellent.

Very beautiful poem. The imagery is strong, and as close my eyes I can see the crimsom shadow on the black water, particularly, when I imagine that there is a flash of light.
Beautiful and scenic poem.

I think you undoubtedly have created a visual picture here, Gypsy! I had no idea that a black sea or strawberry moon existed. But why would I doubt the wonder of nature captured in your beautiful post? Well done! Debbie

Thank you very much, Debbie. Yes, all the full moons have a name. I added a link. There are two full moon calendars, I like the Native American one.

Thank you for reminding me of the strawberry moon! Indeed my granddaughter picked some strawberries off our balcony today.
I liked your color imagery of black and red in your poem.
