I thought this story did a great job with characters talking (the loquacious zebras, Zed and Stripe), and I like the tone and pacing. I see some other reviewer already mentioned it could be a cute book in the future. Just for fun I did a search of zebra crossings in my home state of Utah, and what actually came up besides information on school crosswalks was a slot canyon called the Zebra Slot Canyon in Escalante, Utah, at the southern side of the state. Maybe your zebras take a side-vacation to the slot canyon in the near future, or someplace fun in Australia.

Yes, we do say zeh-bra, not zee-bra! Lol. In my previous poem someone mentioned that my last two lines did not rhyme - but in Australia they are a perfect rhyme. Different accents. Thanks so much for a lovely review. Just as well I explained what zebra crossings are, as many had never heard this expression which is very common here. I am glad you enjoyed the story. Thank you for thinking of these prompts.

You clearly met the brief on this one, and matched the illustration perfectly. My only thought was that it could have been tightened somewhat. The idea could have been conveyed with some of the middle portion deleted. Fun to read!

Yay for Zed and Stripe! I like the way you applied the prompt and ran away with it. This concept might make a picture book if you reworked it. It would be a grand concept for illustrating.
